Are you a queer or trans individual searching for a confidential, safe space for adult peer support and recovery? Consider stopping by the Rose Dynasty Center on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for Queer & Trans Recovery. Feel free to stop by an hour early on Wednesdays to meet with our Recovery Facilitator before the group meets.
Queer & Trans Recovery is one of the only evidence-informed recovery and peer support groups exclusive to queer and trans individuals in Polk County. Although the Rose Dynasty Center remains committed to serving straight and cisgender individuals, Queer & Trans Recovery is dedicated explicitly to queer and trans adults in need of support and hosts conversations about several sensitive subjects.
Queer & Trans Recovery is a secular, judgment-free space for anyone navigating challenges with substances, unwanted behaviors, mental health, religious trauma, and more. Whether you’re seeking healing or empowerment, you’ll find a compassionate community that honors your unique journey. Together, we embrace resilience, solidarity and the strength to reclaim your story.
Queer & Trans Recovery utilizes the SMART Recovery approach to addiction, which lends itself to peer support and teaches skills to address addictive and unwanted behavior. You can learn more about SMART Recovery here.
There is no cost of attendance for Queer & Trans Recovery, but the Rose Dynasty Center accepts donations for Queer & Trans Recovery that fund resources, snacks, drinks and more.
